The White Russian was made famous by the movie "The Big Lebowski" and it definitely played a role in my life! When I was old enough to drink in the bars it was the only drink I ordered because it was the only drink I knew HOW to order!

However, more often then not it was just three ingredients tossed in a glass with no care or thought to the matter. They give you straws to stir up your sweet muddy drink, and that was consistent in many places I went to!

Throughout my years bartending I tried many versions from shaking ingredients and layering milk, half n half, cream. But the version in the video is my favorite way to make this drink!

When you shake heavy whipping cream it gets thick enough to create a nice layer on top, and when the drink runs through it, there is a beautiful blend of whipped cream and coffee liquor!

White Russian Recipe:

⚈ 2oz (60ml) Vodka
⚈ 1oz (30ml) Kahlua
⚈ Top with shaken heavy cream


Add Ice then add Vodka and Kahlua to glass.
Stir and shake heavy cream
Top with heavy cream
