It all began one morning when my neighbors called to say they had found scattered feathers in a field and a duck nest with no mother anywhere around. I went to the spot immediately, hoping to find some clue. As I walked through the grass and searched around the small pond, it became clear that something had happened to the mother duck — feathers were everywhere, and she was gone. In that moment, I realized the nest was abandoned and the eggs would not survive if left there.

And then — three tiny surprises. I found three eggs that were already internally pipped, meaning the ducklings had started hatching right around the time their mother was taken. I lifted them and held each one close to my ear. I heard faint peeping. That was the sign that there was still hope — but no time to waste. I carefully packed the eggs in what I had brought and rushed home to get them into my incubator.

The video shows the exact moment I place the eggs inside the warm incubator, and only a few hours later, the cracks grow larger. This was the best possible sign — they were alive and fighting. After 12 hours, two ducklings hatched — wet, weak, but alive and determined to breathe. The third egg didn’t move for a long time, and I thought it was over… but 10 hours later, something incredible happened — the third duckling broke through the shell and hatched as well.

I also recorded the moment when I held all three ducklings in my hands as they pecked, cuddled, and interacted with me for the first time. It was the moment that brought everything full circle — three tiny lives that, against all odds, made it.

The video then jumps ahead — two months later. The ducklings have grown, strengthened, and it was finally time to let them join my flock of ducks and geese. Of course, my ducks reacted in a hilarious way — they immediately ran away from the newcomers. But after just a couple of days, they all became friends, roaming together, eating together, swimming together, and coming to me every time I walk into the yard.

The video ends with the most heartwarming scene — the entire flock of ducks and geese happily walking toward me, including the three ducklings that were once abandoned eggs in a field.
