A few weeks ago, I got a call from a friend — two baby lovebirds had lost their mother. She had passed away, and their father, after pairing with another female, slowly stopped feeding them. The chicks were completely helpless — featherless, cold, and weak. It was clear: if I didn’t take them immediately, they wouldn’t survive.

This video tells their full story — from the moment I took them from the aviary to the day they became strong, independent birds. You’ll see how I prepared their food, how they reacted to their first feedings, how they slowly started to trust, cuddle, and grow. I documented every step — the feeding, the care, their first bath, and the first time they relaxed in my hands.

As time went on, they became more active, curious, and affectionate. They started playing on the table while I had coffee, and even dozed off on my shoulder while I watched movies. We built a bond — quiet, real, and deep. Eventually, I took them to meet a friend, so they could interact with new people and learn to trust more than just me. They calmly flew around her home, settled into her hands, and that’s when I knew — we made it.

This isn’t just a story about birds. It’s a story about second chances, quiet care, and trust built without words — just through presence, time, and love.
