Follow the red circular and rectangular disks. There will also be red paint and flagging tape as blazers. If you haven’t seen a red blaze in about 100m you should go back to the last red blaze and look around. Trail is extremely well marked, however, can still easily miss a turn.

You can walk into the ferry, it’s only $11 and to bring the car over is a lot more. You don’t pay until you leave the island.

Water is plentiful. However, those little streams do dry up. We carried 2L of water.

To navigate the trail within hole in the wall area, download the app ‘maps.me’ it’s free and can be used while phone is on airplane mode. It uses your phones GPS.

The terrain between the ferry and Dark Harbour can be a bit challenging. Everything south of Dark Harbour is smooth sailing.

We asked for a ride back to the ferry from Southwest Head. A very nice American family gave us a ride.
