On September 29, 2025, a Cessna T206H Turbo Stationair (N57LB) encountered a sudden engine failure during approach to Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport (MYF/KMYF) in San Diego, and was forced to make an emergency landing on Interstate 15. The sole pilot walked away unharmed, and amazingly, no vehicles on the freeway were struck.
In this video, we reveal the full ATC radio transcript — including the “Mayday” call and the pilot’s last-ditch attempts to recover — synchronized with visuals of what went down. Using media reports, ADS-B / flight data, and the transcript itself, we break down the timeline: from engine loss, to the split-second decisions, to touchdown in the center median of I-15.
