YSL Defense Addresses 'Extra' Comments Made by Witness, State in Young Thug Trial

YSL defense attorneys raised concerns with Judge Paige Reese Whitaker about "extra" comments heard from the state's mics and retired investigator Lakea Gaither. During the cross of Young Thug's attorney, Brian Steel, someone said, "Steel is horrible." Gaither's comments were apparently also caught on live-stream.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
