In this video I run through some information about the Tesla Model Y and Model 3 Soft-Close Frunk products and talk about some of the different types of units and possible failure scenarios. I run through some test to simulate what happens if the soft-close mechanism loses power or blows a fuse while it still has the frunk latch under tension. Hopefully this can help you make an informed decision when deciding on modifications to your Tesla Frunk latching mechanism.
