This beginner step workout is made up of a warm up, 4 combinations, and a quick cool down and lower leg stretch. The first two combinations are very repetitive - good for learning and practicing basic steps. The 3rd and 4th combinations are slightly more advanced but still in the beginner/intermediate range. There are "up taps/single taps up" throughout all combinations so be ready for the basic, 4 count move the switches your lead foot.
The choreography is written out below. Remember to keep a walking rhythm the whole time so you don't have to second guess what foot you should be using. Enjoy!
50 min. Beginner Step Workout
Combo 1: 1 basic, 1 knee, 1 down tap, 1 up tap (changes lead feet), 1 basic, 1 knee, 1 down tap, 1 up tap
Combo 2: all corner to corner: corner kick, corner glute, corner knee, corner ham, corner outer thigh extension, corner inner thigh kick, 1 tap up, 1 basic
Combo 3: 2 V-steps, 1 glute extension down the center, 1 tap up, rocking horse to the corner (ham curl, knee lift, ham curl), 3 pushes (*do not step back down on floor after last push*)
Combo 4: 1 indecision (tap the step, tap back floor, tap over floor, tap back), kick over, walk forward and around 4 counts, L-step, 1 tap up, 2 pushes
