Restore a Hammer Handle with Clear Casting Epoxy and Bent Wood Strips (2020)

Welcome to Workshop Hustle!
In this video I show you how I took an old hammer I had laying around in the shop and make a cast epoxy handle with bentwood inlay. This process worked great even for my first time using a casting epoxy.

Things I would do next time:
Use a pressure pot to remove the super tiny bubbles from the epoxy before casting. You can only see them in certain light and the only real thing that keeps this from being almost perfect.
Take more time to think out the handle glueup and filling in the void left between the two casting “slices”. This was a mess and I knew it might be which is why that footage was left out, no sense in watching me fumble around and waste small batches of epoxy.
