happy halloween!!

i wasnt planning on finishing this before the other cover i was already working on but after i finished that first cover's tuning i decided i wasnt happy with it and am doing a couple more passes so i spat this halloween cover out in the meantime. it's really short choice, which was a good idea in retrospect

in contrast this cover is more phoned in with the tuning i think; i knew i would barely have any time to do everything i wanted so i just stuck to some pitch bends and thats it. i did get ritchy tho!! rap boy i like him i like his singing voice too tbh he just pronounces some words weirdly bc hes not built for it so it takes some fiddling around with consonants. might also notice that i based anri's outfit here off of her new Anri Arcane design, which i think is cool but goddamn i still havent upgraded from Anri Lite so like what am i even supposed to do?? im suffocated with choice.

i dont have too much to say for the mixing; i can feel myself getting better at it for sure because i've been practicing a good amount of music and mixing stuff lately but i still feel that it's a bit lacking, especially in the "zebra-la-la" parts. need to figure out how to do that kind of chorus effect

the vid is where i really put my efforts into for this cover. after effects may be continually beating me into the ground but i think im learning to enjoy the experience. it's sooo ridiculous bc basically anything you can imagine can be done very efficiently in after effects, but it WILL take an ungodly amount of time to figure out exactly how to get the effect you want. doing that cost-benefit analysis of efficiency vs. brute force is half the battle of using ae now that i've gotten to grips with its funky controls and systems
