Playing with Color: Using Color Studies for Abstract Paintings

Selecting color can be challenging. So I search for new color combinations and themes by doing small color studies in a sketchbook. Sometimes I am surprised how colors look together and want to explore more. In this video I use a color study with mostly blue hues to create some large abstracts.
I would love to hear what color combinations you have discovered.
Materials
150lb watercolor paper with a coat of white gesso
Nova Color paints: Titanium White, PhthaloTurquoise, Ultramarine Blue, Raw Umber
Posca paint markers
