After a routine early evening commuter return trip of 37 minutes from the busy and lively hustle and bustle of downtown Sapporo, I finally arrived at Otaru-chikko Station at 8.17 p.m. on Track No. 1, approximately nine minutes behind schedule. Grabbing my belongings, I disembarked from the train and passed through the ticketing gates before heading back to the Grand Park Hotel Otaru for the night.
