The Lonesome Beaver Trail travels 21 miles from Hanksville to Wickiup Pass, elevation 9,200 feet, in the Henry Mountains. At Wickiup Pass the Lonesome Beaver trail intersects with the Bull Creek Pass Road, where turning east will take you to Highway 95, or heading west will eventually get you to Notom Road near Capitol Reef National Park. This well-maintained dirt road, is fairly easy and suitable for most vehicles but be advised that the last mile, from the start of the switchbacks, is a long and very narrow, steep climb to the Pass.
