Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics presents "Why We Communicate." 2019 FAST Educational Summit - Caroline Woeber and Erin Dolan. Information presented at the 2019 FAST Summit and Gala, December 7, 2019.
Erin wants to live in a world where everyone has voice that is heard, her desk has a fresh pile of chocolate on it every day,
and that the unlock button on her car key also worked on her front door.
With 12 years of experience as a speech therapist, she has worked in school and clinical settings in the areas of AAC, autism,
speech sound disorders, social skills, language, and literacy. Most recently she has added Hanen parent education
programs to her skill set and enjoys being a Hanen team lead, helping parents become their child’s best therapist.
Caroline earned a bachelor’s degree in spanish from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in communications
sciences and disorders from the University of Central Florida. Caroline worked as a speech therapist in the elementary
school setting, several private practices in Florida and Colorado, and has been at Children’s Hospital Colorado since
2016. As the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) team lead for camps, Caroline organizes and runs
AAC camps for children, families, and professionals who use speech generating devices (SGDs). Caroline is passionate
about providing training and hands on experience to communication partners in order to support the communication of
individuals who use AAC.
