In this class, a metal ball model is created using Rhino software: First, a sphere with a radius of 17mm is created. Draw and offset a straight line (with an offset of 3mm) in the top view, project it onto the spherical surface, then copy and rotate it by 90 degrees, and generate a U-shaped curve through arc blending. Combine the curves, then rotate and copy them to form an interlaced structure, generate circular tubes and group them. Adjust the angle of the circular tubes through the three-point positioning command, and align them to the origin coordinates to complete the braiding effect. This tutorial focuses on demonstrating the techniques of curve projection, blending, rotational array, and three-dimensional space positioning. It is suitable for learners who want to study the design of complex structures after mastering basic surface modeling.
