The Spider-Man 3 video game was almost as big of a disappointment as the movie. In many ways this game reminds me of Assassin's Creed Unity in the sense that they didn't know how to bring the series into next-gen consoles. They wanted to make the world bigger, make the game look prettier, but as a result it slowed the pace of the game down so much that it took away from what made the Spider-Man 2 video game so good: the movement. The music is also not as good as the previous two games, since they went for a more moody soundtrack instead of using the classic Danny Elfman score.

All that being said, it's not a horrible game. It's still fun to be Spider-Man and fun to explore the open world. I commend Treyarch for trying to do something different, instead of just completely copying their formula from Spider-Man 2. All and all, it'll be a fun play for a fan Spider-Man.
