21 A seafood dinner feast at a local fisherman family in Thailand | Things to do in Koh Lanta

In this episode of beautiful stories from Koh Lanta we join a fishing trip with our kids and a local fisherman couple called Ja Malee and Bang Godet from Koh Por, a real authentic and non-touristy local island just opposite of Koh Lanta island.

In the last episode we caught some big shells and a weird looking mushroom.

In this episode we are continuing our quest for seafood. We catch shells from the mussels family that we are going to boil with lemon grass. We also collect a trap and find a bannerfish and a crazy looking fish that looks like half dinosaur half dragon but in English is called scorpion fish.


After we arrive to Koh Por and collect clams straight from the beach! These clams we are going to cook for our cooking channel Cooking with Mon. Check out this episode here:

While we are swimming and enjoying a beautiful sunset, Ja Malee is already cooking a real seafood feast for us! So delicious! We have the mussels cooked with lemongrass, a Tom Yum soup with freshly caught shrimps, barbecue squid, boiled crabs that we eat with a delicious sweet & sour seafood sauce. We also have amazing crispy deep-fried fish. we will post the recipe next week. Last but not least we cooked the weird looking shell that we found in the last episode.
