Lavapiés is one of the most technically demanding pieces, arguably form the entire piano repertoire. It is also a story of the unsophisticated, the folky, and the streets of Madrid. It is a very exciting piece to listen to, and sometimes to play it, too!
This performance was given in Zaragoza, at the wonderful Mozart Hall, one of the most impressive halls in Spain. Thank you to the audience for their usual warmth and enthusiasm.
