After all the ICF Garib Rath trains were LHBfied, the Bandra Nizamuddin Yuva Express was the only train left in the Indian Railways which ran 130Kph capable ICF rakes. Now the time has come for the Yuva Express to get its own LHB rakes.
The journey commenced on 26th April 2025 from H. Nizamuddin is to be the last time an ICF train runs at 130Kph. To capture this piece of history, I headed to Umroli which is a good spot to capture trains at high speeds. Quite a few trains coming from the Ahmedabad line were delayed that day so I got to capture some trains I would have otherwise missed like Gangaur Express, Ranakpur Express, Delhi Sarai Rohilla Garib Rath. The surprise catch of the day was a 8 Coach Vande Bharat rake which caught me totally off guard. I checked the time tables for any special VB running but I got nothing. Perhaps it was a rake in transit or some sort of trial, either way was a nice spot. The Mumbai Rajdhani & Hapa Duronto showed great aggression as they skipped Umroli heading towards their destination, Mumbai Central.
