This video is about your right to consult with an attorney prior to questioning.
Article 31(b), UCMJ, requires that an individual subject to the code, who questions a service member about misconduct must advise that service member of his/her right to remain silent, the nature of the accusation, and that anything the service member says can be used against him/her at trial by court martial.
In addition, that service member has the right to consult with an attorney prior to answering any questions. Even though Article 31(b) does not specifically state the service member be informed of this right.
