5 Facts To Know Before Buying A Husqvarna 122C Line Trimmer

Not suitable for rough jobs.
Lower drive shaft at trimmer head can easily break/detach.
Long grass is easily wrapped around trimmer head. Many trimmers experience that so it is not unusual.
Small fuel tank so does not last long. Needs to be filled almost right to the top of the tank to prevent constant stalling.
Flimsy bump knob and cover that are easy to break and lose the spring.

Apart from annoyances like those, they are good trimmers but only for home use.

Easy start

Use a decent quality fuel and add some oil,
Press the fuel primer bulb several times,
Pull up the blue choke lever,
Pull the starter cord gently,
Let it run and then push the blue choke lever back down.

Easy to start but you may have to repeat that process a few times to get it going in some weather conditions. It helps to have a completely full fuel tank and keep it full by taking a break to refill. Videos on other channels show how to start this trimmer.

Noise

They are light and not very loud. However, they are only suitable for use at home rather than commercial use.

Bent or straight?

The bent shaft string trimmers of any make are not good for lawn edge trimming so consider a straight shaft. They are not that much more expensive. They also do not handle thick trimmer cord well. So they are not very good at trimming dense weeds with thinner cord as in this video.

Price

The old saying that you get what you pay for rings true with cheaper trimmers like this! You do not expect much for just over $200 for a bent shaft one. This trimmer is good for occasional home use. They generally do not handle thick cord so stick with the thinner ones. That is all that you need around the home normally anyway.
