Slinky!!

One of the most beloved and well known toys ever, Slinky is in the National Toy Hall Of Fame.

They have made all sorts of them, different sizes, the new MEGA Slinky is massive. Found that one at Five Below. You can find some form of Slinky at almost any store. We loved to send the original metal ones down the stairs as kids. You can win tiny plastic neon's at the arcade. Ace Hardware has the World's Smallest ones and the vintage metal ones in all sizes.

In 1943, Naval Engineer Richard James was working with tension springs to stabilize instruments on warships. One "walked" it's way off the table, rather than just fell. He then went to work on creating one of the most iconic toys ever. He and his wife Betty named his invention Slinky.

This reminds me of the Play Doh origin story! Cool!
