Lavaredo Ultra Trail 120k

The Lavaredo Ultra Trail is one of the great 'classic' trail runs in the Alps. With a length of 120 kilometers and 5.800 m D+, this is easily the longest race I have ever participated in. Running this race through the Italian Dolomites around Cortina d'Ampezzo had been on my bucket list for 6 years.
Completing the race was no easy task. It took me more then 26 hours, and, if it wasn't for my supportcrew, I might have thrown the towel at km 95. But with some help and encouragement, I decided to continue, and was very happy (and relieved!!) to reach the finish line in Cortina at 01:24 on Sunday morning.
