Mirror Lake Scenic Byway - Uinta Mountains' High Country Adventure | Utah

Less than two hours from Salt Lake City, Mirror Lake Scenic Byway stretches 42 miles along state Route 150 and is one of the most popular mountain driving routes in Utah. The drive begins in Kamas and ascends high into the Uinta Mountains cresting at 10,715 feet at Bald Mountain Pass, slowly descending into Wyoming. This scenic byway has many overlooks, waterfalls, lakes, and miles of hiking trails. The Uinta Range is one of the few in North America that runs east to west rather than north to south. These rugged mountains are the highest range in the state of Utah featuring 12 peaks over 13,000 feet. King’s Peak sits at 13,528 feet in elevation and boasts incredible views of the high alpine wilderness. I hope you all enjoy the series finale of Gem State Getaways as we begin our final adventure.
