This once thriving town from the late 1800’s had a general store, gas station and train depot. Serving as a convenient stop for locals or people just passing through on the train. The original train line through the small town was part of the old Atlantic Coastline Railroad that connected towns that are no longer there. Now owned by CSX the train continues to pass through this small ghost town but no longer stops here. Which left most of the businesses over time to move on to bigger more affluent towns. Once you have turned the corner for the old shuttered train depot you come upon a quiet scene of old small town life. Originally more buildings stood in town but some have been relocated and saved over the years thankfully. Still a fascinating view into an old small town way of life which is slowly dissipating over the years. Glad I could document what remains of this place while it’s still around. Such a sweet little place and even more sweet for the beautiful fragrant wisteria growing all around it. Thanks for watching.
Also is some footage of my new lil puppy Buddy at the end.
