This is a solution for those of you looking for something more cost effective. I have seen these go for as little as 600 shipped on Ebay.
This is best paired with a battery equalizer as I believe the 12v side of this alternator only puts out about 50 amps (just to make sure the batteries stay balanced). The 24v side though is a monster.
