Arm Swings for Spine and Shoulder Mobility

This is a simple mobility exercise for the spine and the shoulder. I use it as a warm up for taiji and qigong practice and for joint preparation for bodyweight calisthenics. You use the turning from the pelvis to generate the force into the arms and the spine is mobilize with this rotation. You want to be very relaxed in the arms and throw them with the pelvic rotation.
If you are not use to these type of exercises, it is advised to start slow and build the momentum once you are sure that your shoulder and spine can handle this. These type of mobility drills are deceptive and you don't want to cause injury by starting with too vigorous of a momentum.
