Bulgarian food is generally easy, and super tasty, so this homemade yogurt recipe is no expectation. Did you know that Bulgaria is also the home of yogurt, thats why my Homemade yogurt from the recipe of Petya who is Bulgarian is both tasty and Easy.

Not only that Sheep yogurt is super healthy, and helps give a balance in Bulgarian food.

Making yogurt anyway is easy and if you follow my Homemade Bulgarian Yogurt recipe you can't go wrong. Not only will you save money in the long run, it's healthier and tastier.

We very rarely buy yogurt from the shop, as we are mainly using this homemade yogurt recipe when ever we can get our hands on fresh milk.

In this Bulgarian Yogurt recipe we are using fresh Sheep milk, though it's possibly to use any other kind of milk.

Here is a slight overview of the Traditional homemade yogurt recipe:

The amount of milk is dependent on how many contains you have
1) First bring the milk to the boil
2) Prepare Jars by spreading shop bought or previous Homemade Yogurt all around the inside of the jar.
3) When milk boils take of heat and leave to cool 40-45 degrees Celsius or 104 -113 degrees Fahrenheit
4) Pour milk into jars and store in warm place 3-4 hours
5) Put in the fridge overnight
6) Open and enjoy

It’s the same if you want to make Sheep yogurt, you just switch it for goat milk.
