Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers 2 Playthrough (NES) (DEATHLESS)

While having expressed my deep love of the first Chip & Dale game last time, the sequel to it on the other hand I had no prior experience with at all. For years I had no idea there was a sequel honestly...and judging by how rare it is I'm sure I am not the only one that had/has that issue. More on that later though. The game itself is near exactly like the previous Chip & Dale, which is a good thing if you were a fan of the previous game. The downside to that though is that the game does come off as a bit monotonous and "been there, done that" feel at points. Love that they kept the 2-player co-op and that the game controls identical to the first game, which I found to have very simple and flawless controls honestly. Music is very good and solid, and the difficulty level I honestly found to be a bit easier this time around more or less. With a bit of practice I found that the last level(s) and Fat Cat to not be quite as hard and challenging as the first game. Overall I would say that the game is solid, competent if unspectacular follow-up to the classic first Chip & Dale game. I would say play it and get it if you can but there is one very glaring problem though......the game is one of the rarest and most expensive games in the NES library. Came out right near the end of the NES lifecycle and was nowhere near as well advertised or available as the first game was which has left it an obscure, rare and very expensive game. For my money, its not worth the brutal price-tag that it commands for what you get with the game, with it coming across as a carbon copy of the first game in many ways. But like I said, if you really like the first game and aren't expecting anything too big then its a perfectly enjoyable and fun game and well-worth playing through. Just finding an actual physical copy will hit the wallet hard, and I am not so sure its really worth the price-tag. Fun game for sure, and a great playthrough with a friend as well!
