So, I am a 16-year-old guy and I am in high school right now and my mom got married to my stepdad, Eddie, two years ago. My mom is 40 and he is 42 years old. My parents never got married, I was actually the result of a really short fling after college that they thought would end in a couple of months. But then my mom got pregnant and she did not want to terminate it, so she had me. And my dad also wanted to be a part of my life, so they have shared custody of me and I switch homes every month. I spend the year alternatively, with my mother and my father, splitting my time equally between them. I love my parents, and I know that both of them have made quite a number of sacrifices for me, in order to be close to me. The first and biggest one is that they have had to live in the same city for years so I don’t find the commute between the two houses too difficult to deal with.
