Atta Halwa Recipe
A delicious and aromatic dessert, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour
½ cup ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup sugar
2 cups water
Assorted dry fruits (for garnish)
Method:
1. Prepare the Sugar Syrup:
Combine sugar and water in a pan. Heat the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely.
Allow it to simmer for 3–4 minutes, then set it aside.
2. Roast the Wheat Flour:
In a heavy-bottomed pan, melt the ghee over low heat.
Add the wheat flour to the pan and roast it gently on low flame, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
3. Achieve the Perfect Aroma and Color:
Continue roasting for 5–6 minutes, or until the wheat flour turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
4. Combine the Syrup and Flour:
Gradually pour the prepared sugar syrup into the roasted flour while stirring continuously.
Increase the flame to high and keep stirring until the mixture thickens.
5. Finish the Halwa:
Cook until the mixture releases ghee and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
6. Serve:
Transfer the halwa to a serving dish and garnish with dry fruits of your choice.
Serve warm and enjoy the rich flavor.
Tip: Stirring continuously is key to achieving a smooth and lump-free texture.
