NIDO-WHO? Shadow Grimer THE BEST POISON TYPE in the Great League Halloween Cup - Pokemon Go PvP

Welcome back to the channel! Today, I'm taking my first look at the Halloween Cup. This has always been one of my favorite cups, as many anti-meta Pokémon have a lot of play.

Twitter seemed to be hyping up Pokémon like Clodsire and Nidoqueen. While I don't disagree that they are strong, there is one Poison type that is far superior, and that is Shadow Grimer. Its mono-Poison typing means it doesn't pick up weaknesses to common Ice and Water types. Despite not being a Ground type, Grimer can function as a Ground-type attacker using the oppressive combination of Mud Slap and Mud Bomb. Another thing that stands out is Grimer having access to Sludge, one of the best 40-energy charge moves in the game. For comparison, Poison Fang costs the same energy, only doing 45 damage, whilst Sludge does 70!

Today's team partners are a Shadow Forretress Lead and my trusty rank 1 Sableye, operating as the safe switch.
