HiDef: Circus Train at Henderson, IL

On a gloomy day in August, my buddy Seth (trainmasterfm2) and I found ourselves in Henderson, IL on the BNSF Barstow sub waiting for the Barnum and Bailey Circus Train to show up. Using the back hatch of Seth's van as cover, we braved the cold rain to catch this rarity. The train came off the NS at Streator, IL (SXR) and was on its way to Moline, IL (MLN) to put on a show. Coming off the NS at Streator, this train had a different lead engine-NS 8882. For some reason, they took it off in Galesburg and replaced it with the BNSF 9663. Bringing up the rear of the consist is a somewhat rare NS SD70M 2581. Enjoy!
