Today marks the first round of Season 17 for the League Zero Formula Series presented by INCA Salsa as hosted on iRacing! We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which took place on Thursday 8th January 2026 with the aim of bringing it to you as if it were live!

It has been just over a month since the conclusion of last season, and there are no signs of us slowing down here at League Zero as the seventeenth rendition of our Formula Series gets underway today. A short but sweet nine round season awaits which shall see our competitors take on a wide variety of circuits both old and new ranging from the classic Interlagos Circuit through to burgeoning newcomer: the Miami International Autodrome.

Moreover, some changes are in store for this season which shall serve to tighten the competition. Firstly, the Feature race grid each round shall now be based on a top six reversal of the results from the prior Sprint. Additionally, the points system has received an overhaul with only the top twelve finishing positions in the Feature race being awarded points; and only a single point being awarded for pole position in Qualifying.

The story of the season begins at the Phillip Island Circuit. Named after the Australian island on which it sits, this 2.76 mile circuit has over its 73 year history evolved to become an integral part of many national and international racing series including MotoGP and GT World Challenge Australia. With its 12 corners being a fast-flowing mix of sweepers; hairpins; and cambered corners, our drivers’ ability to be fast but smooth shall be put to the immediate test!
