On 02 Mar 2022 raregroove.com sat down with Gordon Simba. Taking inspiration from the music he heard in the clubs and combining it with sharp street wisdom Gordon became a successful music industry entrepreneur. Early in his career Gordon's particular niche was 'Trailblazing' – being involved at the cutting edge of the scene as it evolved and and taking advantage of the music and fashion trends that all had their birthplace in the underground clubs he frequented. We discuss the early days that forged his interest in the raregroove scene with props to the people who inspired him and helped him on his journey.

Background to the Interview:
After attending one of our 'parties in Lewisham SE London the previous Saturday, Gordon Simba reached out to me and during that 'out of the blue' phone call we agree to meet later in the day to talk on camera. Although our paths had crossed many times and we'd rubbed shoulders at events back in the day we'd never talked in such depth and the resulting conversation covered some raw truths and special memories covering the times we'd spent in the clubs from the mid 1980's to the mid 1990's.
