Part 2 of Art and Stitching works on finishing off our felted background with stitching. We have already used French Knots and Seed Stitch and now Fly Stitch to produce grasses weeds ferns and other foliage or even a scattering of birds in the sky. It depends on the colour and the wool, or threads you use for stitching and also the variations of a simple stitch to suggest perspective and allows us to suggest details in our felted landscape textile art.
