A blissful family trip to Sikkim revealing grandeur of religious monuments

Owing to sheer geographical location, Sikkim flourished as a state with multiple ethnicities, religious divergence, and extraordinary natural wonders. As a result, many monasteries, temples, Gurudwara and natural spiritual shrines became interesting for the tourists. During September 2022, we undertook a trip ex- Bagdogra to Pelling-Ravangla-Namchi-Lachen-Lachung-Gangtok. Though a bit in rush to cover entire South-Western and Northern region of the state, the trip was quite peaceful and accomplishing. Among many places of tourist interest we were keen to explore some religious monuments, Sanga Choling monetary in Pelling, Buddha Park (Tathagata Tsal) in Ravangla, in Namchi and a sacred Gurudongmar Lake near Lachen. Herein, we present a walk-in experience of these premises highlighting the religious ethos and craftsmanship to bring out the aesthetic beauty of the shrines.
