Huckleberry Railroad 152 and the 2024 Railfan's Weekend

Alaska Engineer Commission 152 has been a surprisingly squirrley locomotive to properly document. For about three years I had the locomotive on my radar, but when I went to film at the Huckleberry Railroad, something always seemed to go wrong, or I was busy elsewhere. In August 2024 I finally pencilled in the Railfan Weekend to check this locomotive off my list. The first run of the day was hailed as a photo charter special for $20. It was of course nowhere near as serious as the usual weekend long adventures from sunrise to sunset, but for a person who has never been on one, it was a basic example of what they can be like. Accompanying me on this hot summer's day were Monnin Photography and Train Wizard Productions, two extremely talented creators who I am honored to call close friends. Follow us along the Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad's dogbone as we see 152 in action!
