This video demonstrates and describes the Patellar-Pubic Percussion Test, which is a physical exam maneuver to evaluate patients for fractures of the proximal femur and pelvis.
Consider performing this test in patients that present with hip or pelvis trauma accompanied by pain, tenderness, or limited range of motion in the hips or pelvis, an inability to bear weight or an antalgic gait.
