Experience early-season skiing at Keystone Resort, Colorado, during the very start of the season when only limited terrain is open. In this video, we ride the River Run Gondola and the Montezuma Express Lift, accessing the first runs of the season: Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon.
Snow conditions are early-season firm with pockets of fresh snow, and snowmaking was still in progress at the base. At the end of the day, we had to download the River Run Gondola because the lower resort was still being prepared.
We also check out the mini park at the top of Santa Fe, giving a fun peek at one of Keystone’s terrain features for freestyle skiers and snowboarders even this early in the season.
