In May 2025, Otto and I set out on a new long-distance hike — our longest in quite some time. We chose the Southern Upland Way, a 214-mile walk that stretches coast to coast across the south of Scotland.
Come join us for part 1, covering our first two days on the trail, as we walked from Portpatrick to the Beehive Bothy. We were lucky with incredible sunny weather and stunning views, but we also faced our first challenges — like trouble finding water, crossing fields with cattle, and the remoteness of the trail, which affected me more than I had anticipated...
