KC Lund $4000 Arming Sword Review

This is a Brazil Nut blade made by KC Lund. The blade is made from a combination of 52100 and L6 in a lovely pattern. The blade is light and while not a replica of an original, it does take some heavy inspiration from the proportions of historical examples.

Interestingly the blade sags under its own weight and does not have flex in the area I usually expect. Typically this is a bad thing but I have to question if the blade is made that way intentionally. Many original blades sag under their own weight, many feel floppy to a modern user. That does not change that many originals are built this way. If a person wanted the feel of an original and the benefit of modern steel, this is a happy marriage.

Made based on measurements from original (not exactly but inspired by) the sag is intentional.
