How to Learn Sandboarding in 1 Day - Sand Dunes National Park CO

In this weeks video we venture out to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado where I try Sandboarding for the first time.

Now, I have been snowboarding plenty of times and figured I would pick up sandboarding very quickly. However, they are not exactly the same as I quickly learned.

Come watch as I go from not being able to go 1 inch down the hill at the start of the day as I slowly progress in skills to doing "tricks" by the end of the day.

Another huge difference between snowboarding and sandboarding, is that there are no lifts with sandboarding. Meaning, that every time you shred down the hill, you have to hike yourself backup the dune to go again.

Now, this quickly takes a lot of energy out of you, because when you walk on sand, your foot slides down a couple of inches requiring you to take "extra steps" on the way back up.

Another huge difference between sandboarding and snowboarding is that after every run, you have to re-wax the board.
