Perfectionism can feel like an endless climb, especially for dyslexic adults. In this video, I dive into how perfectionism often starts as a coping mechanism, offering a false sense of safety and control. I explore the physical and emotional toll of striving for 'perfect,' including the pressure and psychosomatic symptoms that come with it.
I share practical steps to break free from these unrelenting standards, like learning where 'good enough' truly lies and saving yourself the pain of going beyond it. We’ll also discuss how acceptance can help.
🙋🏼♂️ My name is Arije, and I am a dyslexic with an MA in Education Studies and I coach dyslexic adults. I aim to share all my tips for learning, coping, teaching, and more on my channel.
