This is one of the many songs sung by the Ngonis of Eastern Zambia called N'gina. Its Also a very popular song during the N'wala Ceremony. The N'cwalaTraditional Ceremony is the custodian of the Ngoni Culture in Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Ngwenyama, lnkosi Yama Nkosi Paramount Chief Mpezeni IV is the Patron of N'cwala which is celebrated during the last Saturday of February every year. They Praise the Lord for giving them fresh crops in the fields, they Commemorate their victories during their tribal wars during their migration from current-day South Africa, and • they Praise the Lord for giving them fresh crops in the fields.

The Ngoni people are an ethnic group living in Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, East Africa(on the shores of Lake Victoria), and Central Africa. The Ngoni Nation traces its origins in the South African Province of KwaZulu Natal among the Ndwandwe Nation whose leader was Zwide KaLanga. The Ngoni's ancestral home is in the St Lucia Bay area, Northeast of the Umfolozi river and North of Sugar Loaf.
