🔽 Day 16 - October 25th

Today we hiked from Ramche (4,485 m) to Tortong (2,995 m).

Today involved a huge descent – 1500m down over 16km, combining two typical stages into one long day heading towards Tortong. Upon arrival, we encountered more guesthouse drama! After checking one place and then finding the other fully booked, the owner of the first place initially refused to let us stay. Thankfully, we resolved the situation, but the mattresses are rock hard! One more long day tomorrow.

🔽 The Kanchenjunga Circuit Trail

In October 2024, Siyuan and I hiked the Kanchenjunga Circuit Trail, following the footsteps of my first journey into this region at the start of the Great Himalaya Trail back in 2019, but heading east from Ghunsa over the beautiful Sele La to the stunning Ramche.
