পুরান ঢাকার ভোজন রসিক মানুষদের কাছে বিরিয়ানী এর স্থান সবার উপরে। আর এর সুবাদেই এখানে বহুকাল আগে থেকেই গড়ে উঠেছে বিভিন্ন ছোট বড় বিরিয়ানীর দোকান। এর মধ্যে শীর্ষে থাকা দোকানগুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম একটি নাম হলো নান্নার বিরিয়ানি। হাজী নান্না মিয়া স্বাধীনতার আগে পুরান ঢাকার মৌলভীবাজারে প্রথম বিরিয়ানির দোকান খুলেন। কিছুদিন এর মাঝেই তার বিরিয়ানির নাম ডাক ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। মোরগ পোলাও দিয়ে তিনি জনপ্রিয় হয়ে উঠেন খাদ্যপ্রেমীদের মাঝে। এলাকার মানুষ তো বটেই, দুর দুরান্ত থেকে মানুষ ভিড় জমাতো এখানের মোরগ পোলাও খেতে।
এখানকার মাটন কাচ্চি টাও কিন্তু বেশ জনপ্রিয় !

People from across Dhaka and the whole country comes here once to taste their Morog Polao and Mutton Kacchi. They also have another dish called the mutton biriyani.
