In this video I was out in Yorkshire to film locomotive 7029 "Clun Castle" as it pulls another The Christmas White Rose to York. I decided to stop first at Church Fenton and then the plan was to travel to York to film it leave for it's return leg.
I was lucky enough this time to see the locomotive being turned on the turn table. Sadly due to the distance I was unable to get a clear steady shot. Also everything filmed at York was handheld. While filming on the bridge over the sidings, the wind picked up as well. Also things didn't fully go to plan when "Clun Castle" left York. Due to the lighting, and also the bright lights from the platform I was unable to use all the footage I filmed. The camera also struggled with focus.
This is the only trouble with these Christmas rail tours when they leave York, it's already dark.
