Running the Bureaucratic Marathon 🏃‍♂️| Checking Out of American Samoa for Fiji

It’s our very last day in American Samoa, and before we can set sail for Fiji, there’s a mountain of unglamorous cruising life chores to tackle. From dentist and doctor visits to provisioning runs (in the pouring rain, of course). Nothing is ever simple when you live on a sailboat. To officially leave the country, we run all over town between customs, immigration, and port authority to complete our check-out. Finally, after a long day of errands and logistics, we’re cleared to begin our passage to Fiji—only to realize that much of our precious provisions won’t be allowed into the country. Looks like we’ll be feasting at sea before we arrive!
