I can’t fix what’s broken in the hearts or bodies of the people I love. I can’t even fix myself. I have zero control over the timing of things, and I’ve lived a lot of days months and years consumed with worry and anxiety over things that were completely out of my control. I’ve wasted a lot of energy in anxious spaces. Can you relate?

This season has brought challenges to new levels. And though I am SO slow to learn, the Lord has been so patient with me and keeps working on my heart to gently teach me that there is truly in no safer place to be than in His will. When I am actively laying down the things that weigh on me at the foot of Jesus I experience His true peace. I will wait and trust and set my hope in the Lord.

Psalm 63:3-4: “Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.”
